The 14th Annual Rheumatology Winter Clinical Symposium – THE Premier International Academic Rheumatology Meeting Meeting – will be held from February 10 to February 13, 2021 at the Wailea Beach Marriott in Maui, Hawaii, USA.
This outstanding meeting, run by a world-class faculty, will review key and novel aspects relevant to the approach to and treatment of rheumatic diseases. The format has been specifically designed to allow optimal time for discussions and interactions.
Uncertain of Coming “In-person” or “Virtual”?
Your registration fees will be interchangeable and if for reasons you cannot attend “in-person” but wish to attend “virtually”, we will refund the difference in registration fees within 30 days following the completion of the meeting. If you received the vaccine and want to come “in person”, we will apply your “virtual” registration fee toward the “in-person” registration fee.
Don’t forget to secure your discounted hotel room, any reservations received after January 5th cannot be assured of hotel space or the group rate.

You won’t just be sitting in your seat! The RWCS program is presented in innovative and interactive formats, including:
- Rheumatology 2020: Year in Review
- Important papers/abstracts/news stories/etc from the previous year on key topics.
- “Outside the Box” and Special Seminars
- One speaker will cover a topic relevant to but perhaps outside of traditional rheumatology topics.
- “How I do it” Seminar
- One speaker will cover a topic in rheumatology from their personal perspective, supplemented by literature review, and presented in case format.
- Hot Topic
- One speaker will cover a topic of particular new relevance to rheumatologists, presenting the latest evidence, recommendations, etc
- Point/Counterpoint
- Two speakers have 15 minutes each to take opposite sides of the statement proposed, using the best data to support their arguments.
- Evidence vs Experience: Rheumatology E-Consult
- Faculty will describe their approaches to clinical problems that are common, but for which there is a lack of high quality evidence; speakers must defend their remarks citing published literature or relying on their clinical experience.
- Beyond the Package Insert
- One faculty member will review the history, literature, and, most importantly, relevant issues concerning optimal current usage of a rheumatology therapeutic agent.
- Evidence Based Medicine
- One faculty member reviews and presents the best available evidence for a key topic.
- The Hot Seat
- One faculty member presents cases to a panel of faculty and to the audience to stimulate discussion on approaches to challenging rheumatology cases.
- The Evolving Case
- A case will be developed with the help of audience input to facilitate discussions among various faculty concerning touch areas in rheumatology practice.
- Panel Discussions
- All faculty and the audience members participate and give their assessment of and opinions on key topics in our field.
- Afternoon Workshops
- Hands on sessions, with real subjects, supplemented by a lecture and discussion, with the goal of allowing clinicians to learn about novel techniques.
